Thoughts
These no-frills sample baggies are utilitarian and will save you money. They are 2 mil thick and made of LDPE (food-grade plastic). They are not impervious, however, and samples will go stale if you don’t store them correctly.
Bonus: These labels from Avery (#ad) are just the right size to put cottage info on and they fit perfectly on the bag.
Storage / Handling
Store these baggies in a larger plastic zipper bag. 1 Gallon is great for keeping several different types organized inside of a 5 gallon food grade bucket.

Pros:
- CHEAP
- Easily identify contents
- The right size for ingredient tags
- Meets Texas cottage law
- Extremely sanitary
Cons:
- Very basic
- Can be tricky to open
- High permeability
!Don't Forget!
It’s best to store your finished samples in a larger airtight container since these bags are thin plastic. I like to organize them inside of 1 gallon zipper bags then throw them into a 5 gallon bucket we affectionately call “The Sample Bucket”.
